General

Is there a Lovely Sofas showroom?

Indeed there is. We have a range of furniture on display but we can't always accommodate every style, in every fabric, in every size, so if there is something that you particularly want to see, it would be a good idea to give us a call on 01204 368 413 before you set off on your travels, to make sure we have it on display.

How do I clean my lovely sofa?

To keep your lovely sofa in tip top condition, a bit of TLC from time to time, won’t go amiss. With that in mind, we highly recommend Staingard’s Fabric Care kit.

This perfect little cleaning kit consists of several products that are specially formulated to work in conjunction with Staingard Fabric Protector, to ensure that any pesky stains and marks can be quickly and easily dealt with.

Over time, areas such as headrests and armrests can become a little grubby. However, with a little regular cleaning using the mild foaming cleaner, any light soiling can easily be removed with the cloth provided.

Stain removal is also made easy using one of the three ‘spot stain removers’ in the kit. These include a fresh stain remover for blood, food and water based stains; an oil and grease stain remover and finally, a special little number for removing old, resistant and tricky stains such as cosmetics and water based paint. There’s also a very useful deodorizer, to keep any lingering odours in check to ensure your furniture smells sweet and lovely.

Should you run into a spot of bother or you’re not sure which product to use, then Staingard are always on hand to provide advice and assistance.

Can my Lovely Sofa be made in leather instead?

Bespoke

Can Lovely Sofas amend designs to suit a customer's particular requirements eg: making a sofa bigger or smaller to suit my long legs or peculiar shaped living room?

You bet we can! We often receive requests to fine tune our designs to meet a client's needs or requirements. If it’s longer legs, a deeper seat or a fluffier cushion you're after, then give us a call, and we’ll make things special, for you.

Can I use my own fabric?

Yes, you can. We are very happy to work with customer's own choice of fabrics, however, please give us a call first, so we can check measurements and advise on suitability of different fabrics patterns and sofa styles, before you go ahead and purchase something specific.

Placing an order

How do I place an order?

There are 3 easy ways to buy lovely sofas from us. You can explore the website, looking at different styles and fabrics, and then place an order online, or; if you prefer to speak to a real person, then we do like a good natter, so give us a call and place your order over the phone.

Better still, if you’d like to come and see us, you can pop into our showroom in Lancashire. We’ll be very pleased to see you, and we can have a nice chat and a lovely cup of tea, and help you choose the sofa of your dreams.

Payment

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Just a little one. We only ask for a deposit of 10% of the total order value.

What payment methods do you accept?

As well as good old fashioned cash, we also accept VISA, MasterCard, Switch and Delta cards, although we are sorry to say that we do not currently accept American Express.

Can I pay on Delivery?

Yes you can, and there are a number of ways in which you can pay for your lovely new furniture.

  1. Because we only require a 10% deposit for all orders placed online (with the exception of orders for fabric cleaning kits only), you will need to pay the balance of your account when we deliver your furniture. This can be made either by a Building Society Draft or Bankers Draft, which should be made payable to "Saxon Furniture Limited".
  2. If you'd like to pay the balance of your account by personal cheque, we must have received this at least seven days before the due delivery date of your furniture, in order to allow time for the payment to clear. Please make your personal cheque payable to "Saxon Furniture Limited".
  3. For balance payments made by debit/credit card, this will be debited 5 days prior to the delivery of your furniture.

Cancellations

What happens if I need to cancel my order before it is delivered?

Don't worry, things happen and if you need to cancel your order prior to delivery, we are happy to refund any monies paid in full*.

*Please note, if a bespoke order is cancelled prior to delivery, then we do reserve the right to withhold some or all of monies already paid to cover any costs incurred up to that point.

Delivery

How long will it take to get my furniture?

Although our craftsman, have nimble fingers, you can’t rush a good thing. As our delivery lead time can vary at certain times throughout the year, for our up-to-date lead time please contact us on 01204 368413 or via email sales@lovelysofas.co.uk. If you've got a specific time frame in mind, such as working around the decorators or desperately needing it for a family gathering, then give us a call on 01204 368413 and we’ll do our very best to deliver your new furniture, when you need it.

Is there a delivery charge?
We have a standard delivery charge of just £35 for all UK Mainland orders under £400 and just £69 for all UK Mainland orders over £400.

 

Do you deliver outside the UK?

We sure do. We can deliver to remote Scottish regions (although this may incur an additional delivery charge) and we also make dedicated scheduled deliveries to Northern Ireland from only £199! We also make international deliveries to most parts of the world and can handle as much or as little of the export process as you would like. I'm unsure the sofa will fit into my room/home. How can I make sure?
It's ok, we often get asked this question. Fortunately, we offer a view access service which means we can send our delivery team out to your home to assess the options before you have made a commitment to buy.

In some cases we can make alterations to standard furniture to aid us gaining access so it's always best to check if you have reservations before deciding it's impossible. We do charge for this service (£35 if local, £69 for all other areas) to cover our time and fuel but if you decide to buy, we will knock this off the total value of the sale which we feel is a fair deal.

Guarantees

What guarantees do you offer?

We want you to be entirely happy with the furniture you order from Lovely Sofas. But if things aren’t quite right and it’s really not working out for you, then don’t worry, our "28 day money back guarantee” means we’re happy to take things back, and we’ll come and collect the furniture and refund your money*.

Our superb "10 Year Guarantee of Quality” means that all of the furniture frames supplied by Lovely Sofas (allowing for fair wear and tear) are guaranteed against faulty manufacture for a period of Ten Years from the date of receipt. All other parts and materials are guaranteed for a period of Two years.

*In the case of a refund, we will arrange to collect the goods and refund the total amount of monies paid, less the delivery charge and less a collection charge which will be equal to that of the original delivery charge. Please see the example below:

Customer X orders: 1x Knightsbridge Chesterfield in Harley White with Mahogany bun feet and standard studs @ £829

Delivery Charge @ £69 (non-refundable)

Total Order Value = £898

Customer X returns sofa for valid reason.

Customer X is refunded the following: Sofa Value - £69 collection charge.

In the above case £829 - £69 = £760 Customer X will receive £760 for their returned order.

Do you offer any additional protection?

Yes we do. We offer the opportunity to purchase a Protect & Care Policy which offers 5 years accidental damage cover for your sofa, together with an application of Staingard Fabric Protector (to be applied at the time of manufacture), and we include a Sofa Care Cleaning Kit worth £27.

What is the Protect and Care Policy and how does it work?

Once your new sofa has been made, it will have Staingard protector professionally applied before being delivered. The Protector works by creating a bond with each fibre and effectively creating a barrier to oil and water based spills, and stops them from becoming permanent stains.

Once cured Staingard Fabric Protector is not detectable on the fabric and will not affect the feel of your new sofa. On many fabrics, spillages simply 'bead up' on the surface allowing them to be blotted with kitchen roll, and on other fabrics, Staingard will allow the spill to be 'contained' making cleaning easier.

In the event that you are unable to prevent a spill from becoming a stain, then simply call the Freephone claims line (you will find the number in your policy pack) and we will arrange for a cleaner to come and see you and try to remove the stain.

Even the most careful of people have little accidents, and if you (or your pet!) should rip, tear or burn your sofa then again all you need to do is give us call and we'll send out a technician to put things right.

What happens if the stain cannot be removed or a repair is not possible?

Please don't worry, if repair or stain removal is not possible then under the terms of your policy, we'll offer a replacement item at no extra cost to you.

Why purchase Staingard fabric protector?

Our fabric protector is a unique fluoropolymer formula developed to protect your fabric upholstery from most water and oil based stains. The action of the protector gives you the time to blot spills up before they become permanent stains.

Returns/Exchanges

What happens if I don't like the sofa?

First of all keep calm, and don't panic. If it's clashing with the curtains, and really not working out for you then we're happy to take it back. Give us a call within 28 days of receipt, and we'll collect it and refund your money in full*.

*In the case of a refund, we will arrange to collect the goods and refund the total amount of monies paid, less the delivery charge and less a collection charge which will be equal to that of the original delivery charge. Please see the example below:
